QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - A young woman died after a crash at a railroad crossing in downtown Quakertown early Monday morning.

Ashley Kulick, 19, died of blunt force injuries sustained in the crash shortly before 6 a.m. on Broad Street, near Front Street, said Bucks County coroner Meredith Buck.

The Quakertown woman's SUV crashed at a high speed into a light pole at the train crossing, Buck said.

It completely broke off the light post.

Witnesses tell 69 News they saw two cars speeding around the bend towards the railroad crossing, apparently not realizing the road goes from two lanes to one. That's when the SUV lost control and hit the pole on the sidewalk.

Kulick's death was ruled an accident, the coroner said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not said what may have led to the crash.
